There is a little girl (Portia) with a rich dad and when the dad passed on he left all the cash to the individual that weds his girl, yet you cannot wed his little girl simply like that, you need to pick a chest out of the decision of three however you need to pick the correct one. I am doing my coursework on Bassanio; He is a Best companion of Antonio and he goes to Belmont on the quest for affection and riches and attempts to pick the right chest and wed Portia for example Portia says You should take your risk and endeavor to pick by any stretch of the imagination, or swear before you pick, on the off chance that you pick wrong, never to address woman a short time later in a method of marriage: We will compose a custom exposition test on Shakespeare play The Merchant of Venice explicitly for you for just $16.38 $13.9/page Request now We will compose a custom article test on Shakespeare play The Merchant of Venice explicitly for you FOR ONLY $16.38 $13.9/page Recruit Writer We will compose a custom exposition test on Shakespeare play The Merchant of Venice explicitly for you FOR ONLY $16.38 $13.9/page Recruit Writer Subsequently be advisd This implies she cannot pick who she weds, she needs to keep a watch out who picks the correct box, at that point she needs to wed them. Act 4 Scene 1 This scene is the court scene where Shylock has prosecuted Antonio in light of the fact that Antonio couldn't take care of the 3,000 ducats that Shylock had loaned him. Antonio most established and closest companion has picked the correct chest and hitched Portia, at that point he heard that his closest companion was going to pass on, so he advised Portia to remain in a religious shelter until he gets back and he surges off to Venice to check whether he can persuade Shylock to disregard his bond and not take a pound of his tissue. Portia needs to go with him so she subtly goes to Venice with her house cleaner and they claimed to be the legal counselor and the specialist. The two of them dress as men and they attempt and spare Antonio as much as possible even with Bassanio attempting to give Shylock threefold the measure of cash for his bond for example Nerissa says For what reason will we go to men? They go to men with the goal that their spouses won't remember them. Portia glances through the bond and understands that it has nothing about blood so then she says that shylock must take a pound of his substance yet not violate a drop of his wellbeing for example Portia says In this manner get ready thee remove the substance. Shed no blood, nor cut thou less, nor more, however only a pound of substance. At the point when this is said Portia has run over an answer for prevent Antonio from kicking the bucket since you cannot cut tissue without dribbling blood. So shylock attempts to take a pound of substance however understands that he won't have the option to do this so he chooses to take the cash afteral. Portia reveals to them that he needs to take the pound of tissue since that is the security, however shylock concludes that he cannot do it and needs to leave and lose his cash and not have his bond. At that point Portia says that he should not leave since he has attempted to execute somebody so he needs to give Antonio 33% of his cash for attempting to slaughter him. After Shylock has left, Antonio and Bassanio acclaims Portia for sparing Antonio and inquires as to whether there is whatever they can do. At that point Portia judges Bassanio and inquires as to whether he would give her his wedding band and he says This ring, great sir? Tsk-tsk! It is a fool, I won't disgrace myself to give you this. Bassanio doesnt give Portia the ring since he cherishes her. At that point Portia leaves satisfied on the grounds that she didn't leave with the ring and she can confide in him now, yet then Antonio says to Bassanio My ruler Bassanio, let him have the ring: Let his meriting and my adoration withal be valud gainst your wifes charges. When Gratiano finds Portia he gives her the ring and afterward she has been let down on the grounds that her significant other parted with the wedding band she provided for him Portia says to Nerissa We ought to have old swearing that they gave the rings to men yet well confront them, and outswear them as well. This essentially implies youre shouldn't give your better half/spouses rings away however he did just to satisfy a companion. Shakespeares utilization of language in this play is generally excellent on the grounds that the rich and affluent individuals talk in predictable rhyming, which implies that there are ten words or syllables to a sentence, where as the not all that rich individuals simply talk ordinarily, Shakespeare as utilized rhyming couplets toward the finish of every scene. This shows it is really the finish of the scene, in act 1 scene 3 Antonio is making the bond so he can acquire 3,000 ducats yet Bassanio doesnt figure he ought to make this bond so Bassanio is talking in rhyming couplets to attempt to end the arrangement or scene he says You will not seal such a bond for me: Sick rather harp on my need I think this is a truly intriguing play and a crowd of people that like Shakespeare might want this play without question, however they may have numerous perspectives to various characters, for example, Bassanio. I believe that the maker would have made Bassanio go about as though the crowd suspected he was a legend however the crowd would realize that hes truly not. Where this play was composed along time prior it presumably doesn't have the effect on the crowd presently contrasted with how it backed then for instance: the crowd in those days would know precisely how it is so they might want it better yet in current occasions the crowd would initially need to see how life was in those prior days they could appreciate it like the individuals in the former times.

5 Meditation Techniques to Get You Started
5 Meditation Techniques to Get You Started More in Self-Improvement Meditation Happiness Stress Management Spirituality Holistic Health Inspiration Brain Health Technology Relationships Meditation is widely recommended as a health-boosting practiceâ"and for good reason. It provides many positive benefits, from reducing symptoms of stress to relieving physical complaints like headaches and even enhancing immunity to illness. Between the health benefits and the fact that its free and requires as few as five minutes, its easy to see why meditation has become a popular complement to conventional medicine. Basic Concepts of Meditation Though it can be practiced in different ways, a few common threads run through virtually all meditation techniques: Focuses Mind: It is a common misconception that meditation causes the mind to become quiet. In reality, your mind is always thinking. Although your thoughts might not be as rapid, it is perfectly normal for your mind to be active when you are meditating. The key is to acknowledge this with compassion while bringing the focus back to the breath whenever you can. Meditation is like training a puppy to sit; the mind being the puppy, the breath being the trainer. Being in the Now: Rather than focusing on the past or future, all meditative practices involve focusing on the present. Being in the now involves experiencing each moment, letting it go, and then experiencing the next. Focusing on the here and now takes practice, as many of us live most of our lives thinking toward the future or ruminating on the past.Altered State of Consciousness: With time, maintaining a quiet mind and focusing on the present can lead to an altered level of consciousness that isnât a sleeping state but isn ât quite your average wakeful state either. Meditation increases brain activity in an area of the brain associated with happiness and positive thoughts and emotions, and some evidence shows that regular practice brings prolonged positive changes in these areas. Overview of Meditation Meditation Techniques Researchers generally classify meditation techniques into two different categories: concentrative and non-concentrative. Concentrative techniques involve focusing on a particular object thats generally outside of oneself such as a candles flame, the sound of an instrument, or a mantra. Non-concentrative meditation, on the other hand, can include a broader focus such as the sounds in your environment, internal body states, and even your own breathing. Note that there can be overlap with these techniquesâ"meditation can be both concentrative and non-concentrative. There are many different ways to meditate. Think of the following categories of meditation techniques as a jumping-off point to understand the practices and differences among some of the main options, rather than an exhaustive list. Basic Meditation This involves sitting in a comfortable position and using the breath as a point of focus. If you find yourself distracted by other thoughts or find your mind wandering, gently redirect your focus back toward your breaths. 4 Steps to Start a Basic Meditation Practice Focused Meditation With focused meditation, you focus on something with intention without engaging your thoughts on it. You can zero in on something visual, like a statue; something auditory, like a metronome or recording of ocean waves; something constant, like your own breathing; or a simple concept, like unconditional compassion. Some people find it easier to do this than to focus on nothing, but the idea is the sameâ"staying in the present moment, circumventing the constant stream of commentary from your conscious mind, and allowing yourself to slip into an altered state of consciousness. Activity-Oriented Meditation Activity-oriented meditation combines meditation with activities you may already enjoy, or with new activities that help you focus on the present. With this type of meditation, you engage in a repetitive activity or one where you can get in the zone and experience flow. Again, this quiets the mind and allows your brain to shift. Walking Meditation for Stress Relief Mindfulness Meditation Mindfulness can be a form of meditation that, like activity-oriented meditation, doesnât really look like meditation. Mindfulness simply involves staying in the present moment rather than thinking about the future or the past. Again, this can be more difficult than it seems! Focusing on sensations you feel in your body is one way to stay in the now. Focusing on emotions and where you feel them in your bodyâ"not examining why you feel them, but just experiencing them as sensationsâ"is another. The Health Benefits of Mindfulness Spiritual Meditation Though meditation isnt specific to any one religion, it can be a spiritual practice. You can meditate on a singular question until an answer comes, or meditate to clear your mind and accept whatever comes that day. Many people also practice kundalini meditation for mind and body connection. A Word From Verywell Whichever method you choose, keep in mind that a consistent practiceâ"even just quieting the mind for five minutes a dayâ"is more useful than sessions that are longer but infrequent. In the end, the best meditation technique and the one that will help you gain the most positive benefits is one you can stick to.

Animal Experimentation ( Ae ) - 1313 Words
Have you ever looked into the eyes of an innocent animal? How much harm can they do to you? Picture yourself being this helpless animal; you are being put into different rooms for horrific experiments. Scientists are holding you down carelessly, injecting unknown chemicals into your system, and causing nothing but pain and distress. Then you ask yourself, what did I do to end up in here? When you look around, there are many others just like you. You feel as if your life is insignificant. The sad truth is that, Animal Experimentation (AE) is used for human benefit only, not caring that these harmless animals have feelings just like the rest of us. Testing cosmetics, drugs, and dangerous treatments on animals is unfair. Although animal testing has improved medical progress, experimenting on an animal should be prohibited because animals react differently than humans, the costs of these experiments are outrageous, and it is unethical. Those who support AE, argue that it plays a signific ant role in the progress of Medicine. Compare And Contrast Othello And Iago - 1849 Words
In modern society, everyone has a drive to become greater than what they are, and in some cases it may require the elimination of the obstacles which restrict oneââ¬â¢s progression. William Shakespeareââ¬â¢s Othello is play which portrays these unfortunate aspects of society through the characters of Othello and Iago. In short, the play is about a man named Iago who is unsatisfied with his prestigious commanding general, Othello, and plots to ruin his life. Iago is deceitful character who Othello perceives as truly honest and trustworthy, but through the manipulation of others, Iago transforms the general into an irrational character fueled by false doubt. This eventually directs Othello into ultimately killing his wife, Desdemona,â⬠¦show more contentâ⬠¦Moreover, after killing Desdemona, Othello cries ââ¬Å"[m]y wife! My wife! What wife? I have no wife. /O insupportable! O heavy hour! (v. ii. 97-98). This shows how Othello is gullible for listening to Iagoâ â¬â¢s false claims of his wife, as he went to the extent of killing her. In contrast, Iago is manipulative when he seizes the opportunity to enter Othelloââ¬â¢s life because of his open-mindedness. This can be seen from a soliloquy by Iago, where he believes ââ¬Å"[t]he Moor is of a free and open natureâ⬠¦/[a]nd will as tenderly be led by the nose/[a]s asses areâ⬠(i.iii.388-391). This portrays Iago as a strategic thinker as he evaluates his opponentââ¬â¢s weakness before making his move. Furthermore, the soliloquy demonstrates Iagoââ¬â¢s is very sly and independent, as he hides his thoughts in his mind, making him a proficient manipulator. Above seeking the opportunity to manipulate, Iagoââ¬â¢s vividly demonstrates his persuasiveness when he convinces Othello that Desdemona, at the least, is a strumpet. This false accusation is justified by Iago when he convinces Othello that ââ¬Å"[Desdemonaââ¬â¢s] honour is an essence that is not seenâ⬠(iv.i.16). In this instance, Iago uses Desdemona to cast a sense of disturbance and doubt into Othelloââ¬â¢s mind which will eventually challenge the coupleââ¬â¢s relationship. The act of troubling Othelloââ¬â¢s conscience will guide Othello away from his focus on work, thus paving a pathway for Iago to achieve his end goal, the lieutenantShow MoreRelatedShakespeares Play Othello and Tim Blake Nelsons Film O 826 Words à |à 3 Pagesunaffected. Definition of Operations Management. Operations Management is concerned with managing the resources that directly produce the organizationââ¬â¢s service or product after going through a number of transforming Inputs Processes. The resources will usually consist of people, materials, technology and information but may go wider than this. These resources are brought together by a series of processes; so that they are utilized to deliver the primary service or product of the organization. Thus, operation management is concerned with managing inputs (resources) through transformation processes to deliver output (service or product). The following diagram explains the concept of Operation Management more clearly. (Appendix -1 ââ¬âPictorial representation of Operation Management) Example of Operation Management: Let us consider an example from our daily life to understand the concept of Operation Management more clearly. Consider an education institute, here, the student are a primary inputs. The transformation process is the learning that takes place. The main output is the educated students. For this operation to take place there has to be a proper timetabling, lecture and management of the whole activity. Scope of Operation Management: Expressed in this way it can be seen that the term ââ¬Ëoperationsââ¬â¢ covers a wide range of organization. Manufacturing, commercial service, public service and other not-for-profit sector are all included within its scope. One way of defining operation function of the organization is to define what the end service or product actually is once this is clear, the people who directly contribute to the delivery of the end service or product, and the people who closely support them in this task, can be said to operational personnel of the organization. Operations Management and its significance; Operations management concepts exactly help us to gain a better know ledge of things how they and perform around us. These concepts and theories have been developed by experts from different fields and published to share the knowledge to the publics. Operations management focuses on how the subtle routines and activities in your life can be systematically improved and makes our easy little by little. Operations management concepts use logic and practicalities to carry mare efficiency into everyoneââ¬â¢s live and inspire other to bring out more ways to improve this world. Applying concepts to real situations: When the concepts and theories are produced by the great minds of the world, there are no real tangible benefits until it is actually used and applied in the real world. It is one thing to theorize that you can invent something that will take current way of living to the next level and another thing to actually do it and make everybody see that your theory is for real. The same rule applies to operations management concepts. They may be available to you and make you aware of how things around you work but if they are not used to improve the current status then they become useless. They become ere writings on paper and nothing more than that. If these concepts are to become relevant to society, people and government it should be used in such a way that their presence is felt in operations they are used. Once this is happen, then you can expect a wave of improvement every day from everyone which led to a greater improvement in the future. A relevant issue wherein operations management can be applied is in addressing flood damage problem. Todayââ¬â¢s technology obviously does not have control over natureââ¬â¢s forces and the disaster that it may bring. The best way to deal with it then is through preparation and some sort of damage. It is in this aspect that operations management concepts can shine and really help in providing a boost to the current living conditions. Government applying operations management tools: An important part in addressing flood damage is the clean up that follows. This procedure is usually the most difficult and the most expensive of them all. After a major flood, everything is misplaced, infrastructure is ruined and slowly decaying and the area is usually in a state of disorder. If the flood damage cleanup programs are not well designed, it can take a very long time to get the area back on its feet. This means that people will not be able to get paid and it will hurt their way of living. As you can see, the most important things to be considered is how quickly flood damages can be cleaned up and in order to figure out the best possible way to do this, government turn up to use operations management concepts to settle things as soon as possible and which they were successful. The concepts will break down each process that is needed to cleanup flood damage and improve the little details to make everything better, faster and more efficient fullest extent for a better and quick result. Concepts and its applications â⬠¢The first concept in operations management is project planning: the scope of flood damage cleanups usually covers a big area with varying terrains. To be able to work quickly, a very good plan must be set before everybody can get to work. In project planning, there is an emphasis on scheduling and process layout. If there is a set schedule for when cleanup crew are supposed to move in and their job, there will not be any wasted time or effort. It will also give supervisors control over inactive crew so they can be given work and be more productive. An example in terms cleaning up after flood damage is the different jobs that are involved. First, the area has to be cleaned up of debris so a specific cleanup crew will have to handle that. Only after they finish will the road repair crew be able to do their job. Basically, project planning process layout creates a sequence for the different jobs that need to be done and, again, lessens confusion as to what should be done first or not. The next important concept is TQM which stands total quality management: this idea states that there should always be constant improvement within each and every process no matter how miniscule the improvement may be. The logic behind this is that each small incremental improvement will eventually add up to something significant if it is done regularly. Obviously in term of flood damage cleanups, anything that can be done a little bit quickly wil l be beneficial in the long run. This is why each process, cleaning repairing, debris- removing and all other activities should always be done at the fastest pace possible without sacrificing quality and safety. More and more, faster times and more efficient procedures should be set out and eventually, there should be marked improvement over the original performance. â⬠¢Another relevant concept that can b applied is capacity analysis: this takes a logical step in measuring how much capacity a given machine or worker can take. It allows foe downtime, mistake and other unpredictable events then chums out the data to make it relevant. This is important because it help the project planner to be attended to. Capacity analysis also give a good idea of how well equipped a flood damage teams are in regards to dealing with worst case scenarios. â⬠¢The last concept that will be discussed is that of facility location planning: flood damage cleanup supervisors should be able to pin point possible trouble spot during bad weather and be able to situate headquarters nearby. Using this concept may help in determining the most favorable location for setting up of headquarters which will result in save of time and energy. Advantages from Operation Management Application: Although many of the operations management concepts have been discussed, you can see it is beneficial to apply these ideas. It may cost money but the advantages they give are limitless. More efficiency and faster routines are a win- win situation for flood damage crew, government and the residents of the area. Simply put through, operations management concepts real aim is to put organization in continually improvement and to make working condition easy and time saving. Basically, applying different operations management concepts can greatly help in different line of work. How to cite What is Operations Management?, Papers

You just want your WordPress site to load faster, and people are talking to you about all this technical stuff like CSS minification, render-blocking JavaScript, and HTTP requests. In this post, were going to make website speed optimization a lot simpler by focusing on just the techniques that offer you the biggest bang for your buck. This is not every single tip to speed up WordPress, but by following the tips in this post, you should get a site thats plenty fast without needing to pull your hair out or become an expert developer. First:ðŸ⠡ Two big reasons why your websites speed mattersLets start with the big one, which really doesnt need explaining because you already know the feeling:Waiting for a website to load sucks.Making your website faster can have positive effects on everything from user experience to bounce rate, time on site, and other important metrics. Its not just about making your website better for humans, though. Your sites page load times also matter for search engines. Google uses page load times as a ranking factor in both its desktop and mobile indexes, and slow load times can also make it harder for Google to crawl your site.So whether you care about your human visitors or Google (or ideally both!), website speed optimization is important.ðŸâË How to tell if you have a website speed optimization problemOk, so website speed optimization matters. Now, how do you tell where youre at?That is, is your site slow? Is it in the middle? Is it already lightning fast (congrats then, you can probably stop reading!).The only way to know is to test it. There are tons of great free tools that make it really easy to run website speed tests. Weve written about some of the best speed test tools already, but here are the two most accessible options:PingdomGTmetrixAll you do is plug in your sites URL and the tool will spit back how long it takes your site to load. While theres no hard rule about the c utoff for a fast vs a slow website, a good rule of thumb is that you want your site to load in under 2-3 seconds if possible thats what John Mueller of Google Search fame recommends.ðŸš⬠Six website speed optimization tips that make a real differenceIf you found that you have a slow website, nows when we show you how to speed it up.There are a lot of ways to speed up your website weve written about five quick speed tips here, and five more wins for page load times. However, like a lot of things in life, website speed optimization follows the Pareto principle (AKA the 80/20 rule). Thats just a fancy way of saying that a small number of tweaks are going to have the biggest effect on your sites load times.1. Use a caching pluginA caching plugin can make a big impact on your sites load times by serving up static HTML instead of dynamically building a page with PHP on each visit. You dont really need to understand the under-the-hood technical stuff long story short, its not uncommo n to see your page load times cut in half when you move to a caching plugin.Weve collected some of the best caching plugins. And if you want a really simple option to get you started, check out WP Super Cache from Automattic, the same company behind WordPress.com: WP Super Cache Author(s): AutomatticCurrent Version: 1.7.0Last Updated: August 16, 2019wp-super-cache.1.7.0.zip 86%Ratings 30,859,198Downloads WP 3.1+Requires 2. Optimize your imagesAccording to the HTTP Archive, the file size of an average website is comprised of about 50% images. So if you can shrink the size of the images you use on your site, you have a chance to make a meaningful dent in your sites file size.Thats important because:Smaller site file size = faster-loading websiteThe easiest way to optimize images on WordPress is with a WordPress image optimization plugin. For example, Optimole handles compressing your images and serving the proper size based on visitors devices: Image optimization Lazy Load by Optimole Author(s): OptimoleCurrent Version: 2.1.2Last Updated: September 25, 2019optimole-wp.zip 96%Ratings 211,971Downloads WP 4.7+Requires 3. Move to a faster hostSwitching hosts is never fun, but if your core hosting is slow, all of these other website speed optimization tips are just putting lipstick on a pig.So if youre currently using cheap hosting and you find that your site is loading slowly, that might be a sign that youve outgrown your current host.If thats the case, consider upgrading to managed WordPress hosting. While its a little pricier than cheap shared hosting, youll get better performance, and a good managed WordPress host will have implemented server-level configurations to make WordPress load faster. For example, most managed WordPress hosts implement caching for you, which means that you might be able to skip the caching plugin we mentioned in the first tip.To see some good options, check out our post on the best cheap managed WordPress hosting companie s.4. Pick a lightweight themeYour theme is your sites foundation. As such, it has a pretty big effect on your sites load times. On a personal note, moving from a regular theme to a lightweight theme once cut my already-optimized sites page load times by over 40%à by itself. Most lightweight themes are built to work well with page builders and still offer you a good amount of flexibility to design your site. Some good options to consider are:NeveGeneratePressAstraOceanWPThe Neve theme5. Limit WordPress plugin bloatLets first dispel with a myth more plugins does not automatically mean a slower site it depends on what each plugin is doing, and how well each plugin is coded. However, as a general rule of thumb, adding more plugins that are active/visible on the front-end of your site will probably start to have a negative effect on your sites page load times.Unless you have some technical skills, its hard to assess the exact impact of each plugin thats why we still recommend this as a rule of thumb. So if you absolutely need the plugin sure, go ahead and use it. But if you can take or leave a feature, consider leaving it and keeping your site more streamlined.6. Consider a CDN if you have global trafficIf you want to receive visitors from around the world, a content delivery network (CDN) is a great option to speed up your page load times for visitors who are located far away from your hosts datacenter. Why? Because the laws of physics exist! And as fast as the light in fiber optic cables travels, physical distance is still always going to play a role in how quickly your site loads for visitors.Cloudflare is a free CDN option thats pretty easy to get started with, and KeyCDN is another good option. The Optimole plugin we mentioned earlier also acts as a CDN for your websites images, which makes it one of the easiest ways to get started with a CDN on WordPress.Go to topConclusionOnce again, this isnt every single website speed optimization tip. But if you put these six tips into action, you should have a site thats plenty fast, and well under the 2-3 second limit.Remember, you need to:Use a caching pluginOptimize your imagesChoose a fast WordPress hostUse a lightweight WordPress themeBe judicious with the number of plugins you useConsider a CDN if you have global visitors Learn how to #speed up your #WordPress site with the 6 tips that really matter Click To Tweet Do you have any questions about how to speed up WordPress?
